Get Organized!

This is a great video about these new Organizers.  I only have the medium so far and I can get SO much in mine.  I keep it on my dining room . . er I mean my craft table to keep all my supplies and embellishments right at hand.  It holds so much.  Below are some pics.  Also, I love how you can see through these organizers.  The large organizer would be great to take to a crop.  And there are going to be new foam inserts for the small organizer.

Laughing Lola

Here is a sneak peek at the new paper pack called Laughing Lola.  I made these two cards using the patterns found in Volume II of the Make it From your Heart book.  It contains patterns for Scrapbook pages and cards and it's only $7.95. A great value!  Both the paper and the pattern book will be available on August 1st.  In the mean time you can go to my web site and scoop up the retiring product before it's all gone.  Click HERE.

You Are Welcome Here - Video from corporate

This is a great video from Christine about why you should discover or rediscover Close to My Heart.  I love the part where she says CTMH is debt free!  I just heard from a facebook friend that her direct sales company just closed.  Closed!  Shut down!  So many people left in the lurch.  No worries about that with CTMH.  Watch the video to see what I'm talking about.

Rose Blossom Challenge Blog - Challenge #8 - G Key

I'm playing along with the Rose Blossom Challenge blog again this time.  This time it is the G Key on the Artiste Cricut Cart.  I made a set of monogrammed note cards for my sister (luckily we have the same first initial).  I almost used up the last of my Buzz and Bumble scraps for this project.  I had some little 3 x 5 blank note cards and envies that I picked up at JoAnnes.  I covered them in Buzz & Bumble paper and ran some cocoa card stock through my Cuttlebug using my Honeycomb embossing folder.  For the box I used the O key - 3D Object cut at 5.25.  That gives you a box that is 5 1/4 x 3 5/8.  To decorate the outside of the box I cut the flower at 4" (Accent 1) and then I cut Accent 2 - the bow at 1 1/2.  I did not cut the tails of the bow.  I adhered the flower on top of the bow, added some burlap and a sparkle to cover up the brad.  (Hint: before you assemble the sleeve for the box you may want to decorate it first THEN adhere it together to slip over the box.  Ask me how I know that!)

Mojo Monday Card

I'm playing along with the Mojo Monday blog with this card.
Here is the sketch for this week.

And here is my card I created.  I used some 6 x 6 sample pieces of Dakota paper to make my card.  Trying to use up my stash before the new CTMH book comes out.

Banner Project for little girls

I was very lucky to be able to do a craft project with three very cute and creative little girls.  I supplied the paper and embellishments and these girls, ages 7, 6 and 2 years old, did all the rest.  Their personalized door hangers turned out almost as cute as they are.

I believe I first got the idea for a personalize banner project from Brenda Rose.  You'll have to check out her other awesome artwork.

Flip it, Flop it! Work that Sketch!

I tried out Tresa Black's card sketch she posted on her blog Fabulously Artsy  today.  I can always use some inspiration.

I used the retired Clair paper pack and stamp set from the Chantilly Card Workshop on the Go.   I decided to go with the orientation as she presented it and not flip it.  But I can see the possibilities.

Thanks for the sketch Tresa!

Freshly Made Sketches 93

Wow, this is my first time entering in the Freshly Made Sketches challenge.  I follow the blog and love all the artwork and sketches but this is my first time entering.  I needed to make some Thank You cards in a 3 x 5 size and needed somewhere to start so I used sketch 93.  I used Buzz and Bumble paper, some color ready seam binding ribbon and the new Thank You stamp.  I made a set of 4 cards, 2 of each design.

Rose Blossom Challenge

I'm playing along with the Rose Blossom Challenge again.   This time we are supposed to use the K key from the Artiste cartridge.  I chose to make the slider card.  Here's a tip when cutting out this slider card: cut the card part first at your desired size then cut the sleeve out at the same size.  I made the mistake of cutting the sleeve first at 5.5 - a standard card size  - and I couldn't figure out why the sleeve wasn't 5.5 high.  I also used the downloadable "You make me Happy" tags.  You can download your own set of tags too here .  Thanks for looking and be sure to check out the Rose Blossom Challenge blog for more great ideas.
