I wanted to make different kind of card with our new Taste of Summer paper.  I found the instructions for this Pinwheel Fold Card on Splitcoast Stampers but made my own adjustments.

Here is the card closed with the belly band over the card.

Here is the card without the belly band - you can really see the pinwheel shape here.

And here is the inside of the card

Thanks for looking!  You can "Hop" on over to Brenda's Blog to see her work and then come back to read my instructions below.  Be sure to visit all the Consultants along the "hop" to get some great crafting ideas and other fun ideas! Remember, this exclusive paper packet and stamp set is only available until the end of May.  Click HERE to order yours now!

Here is how I made the Pinwheel Card.  Start with an 8 x 8 piece of paper. Using your CTMH score board make sure the diagonal swing arm is folded all the way in and tucked in.  Position your your paper at 4 5/8 mark on the diagonal arm and score straight down.

When you have scored each side cut out the "triangle" part where the score lines intersect. (don't be confused with my orange paper trimmer arm in the top part of the picture.)

Now you have a shape that sort of looks like a flower.

Extend the swing arm of the score board.  Place the paper on the board as shown and score at 1" from the top to the "triangle".  Repeat for all for sides.

Then here is where I started folding.  Fold in on the 4 5/8 score lines and out on the 1" scores, like this.

The inside is 4 x 4 piece of White Daisy mounted on a 4 1/8 x 4 1/8 piece of the Taste of Summer paper.  I stamped the sentiment and the strawberry.

This is the finisthed card.  I used the zip strip as the belly band.
