Holiday Card Workshop - Day 1

I'm taking an on line Holiday Card Workshop through a web site called Online Card Classes.  I've never done anything like this and hope I can keep up with the "homework" assignments.  Our first class was all about dressing up the inside of your card.  Here is my example of making a gift card holder on the inside sealed up with washi tape.  I used our stamp set Wintery Wishes - a hostess only stamp set for the sentiment and the little penguin image, white pigment ink, Sparkle & Shine Washi tape and kraft paper.  You can shop HERE for your supplies.
Here is how to make your own gift card pocket for the inside of your Christmas cards:  Take a 5 x 4 piece of vellum, score along the long side at 2 1/2.  Fold in half and crease using a bone folder.  Make a small mark at the center point of the long side and use a 1/2 inch circle punch to punch a notch.  Apply washi tape along the open sides and the bottom of the pocket.  Trim the excess washi.  Attach to the inside of your card by applying a thin line of Liquid Glass along the washi tape on the back side of the pocket.    Let dry completely and insert gift card!
