Rose Blossom Garden Challenge - Birthday Boy Key
I wanted to play along with the challenge over at Rose Blossom Challenge Blog. This week we were challenged to use the "Birthday Boy" key. And boy was it a challenge. It took me a while to come up with something. I started by cutting all the lunar shapes out of black cardstock at 1 1/4 inches. I knew I wanted to use some Dream Pop paper too. I looked on the Freshly Made Sketches blog for a sketch and used sketch #13. I added a little black trim to the top using my pinking scissors. The lunar shapes are popped off the squares. Inside I'll write the sentiment "You're Out of this World". Thanks for looking. You should play along too!

Wedding Card
I needed a wedding card for a girl at work who is getting married this week end. I love the stamp set The Happy Couple. I used some slate card stock, For Always paper, Glitter paper and some Slate pigment ink to stamp the images.

Home of the Brave
I always forget you don't have to stamp the whole image. Sometimes you can just use parts of a stamp to make a statement. Here I used one of the patterns from the Originals Book, Vertical Three. I used a monochromatic theme with Kraft Card Stock, Dessert Sand Ink and Colonial White Card stock. The ribbon is from my stash.
You can get your own Patriotic stamp set through July 31st - there are 3 different ones and $3 from each B-size My Acrylix® Courage stamp set and $5 from each D-size My Acrylix® Home of the Brave stamp set will be donated to the USO, the leading, most recognized military-support and services organization in the country. Hello Hexie card.
I saw a card featured in the Archiver's email I got. I had to try it myself. I cut the hexies on my Cricut from Dream Pop paper scraps. I cut the word hello on a scrap colonial white card stock. Some bakers twine and brads finished it off.
PS - I used an app called Beautiful Mess to create this picture collageTuesday, June 4, 2013

Rose Blossom Garden Challenge
I wanted to play along with the Rose Blossom Garden Challenge again this week. This time it is the Father's Day key on the Cricut. I used the Shift Accent 1 to cut the diamond shape in black card stock. Then I cut the #1 Dad shape out but cut off the "#1" part so I would just have the word DAD. I used Kraft paper for the back ground and some Buzz and Bumble paper, some bakers twine and some retired (I think) milepost brackets. And just to make it a little more masculine I used my stapler to hold down the edges of the brackets. Everything is distressed in chocolate ink. I'll use this for my dad's birthday card this month.
